Cala L’Andragó
Quiet rocky cove east of Moraira with very clear water, deeper areas and a more natural feel than the town’s sandy beaches.
Description
Cala l’Andragó sits on the Moraira–Calpe coastal road in a broad inlet between Punta de Moraira and Cabo Blanco. It is a rustic cove rather than a classic sandy beach, and that is exactly its appeal: the shoreline feels more open to the sea, the rock formations are prominent and the colours of the water are often especially intense.
The cove is best known for transparent water over rock and stone, which makes it particularly attractive for snorkelling, diving and confident swimmers who enjoy exploring the edges of the bay. It is less about building sandcastles and more about bathing, floating, watching fish and spending time in a quieter coastal landscape.
A viewpoint above the cove and the nearby seafront road give easy access without taking away the sense of scenery. Cala l’Andragó is a good option if you want a more rugged stretch of Moraira’s coastline and prefer a small cove with character over a fully urban beach.
