Les Platgetes
Two small coves linked by a promenade-viewpoint, combining sand and rock, easy access and clear water close to Moraira’s eastern seafront.
Description
Les Platgetes is not a single large beach but a pair of small coves separated by rocky sections and connected by a landscaped promenade. This layout makes the area feel varied: you can move between sandy patches for easy bathing and rockier edges that are better for looking into the water.
The sea is usually clear and the promenade gives the whole place an open, urban-seaside character rather than the enclosed feel of a hidden cove. It is a good choice if you like short walks, sea views and quick access to bars and restaurants without having to give up the possibility of a proper swim.
For families and mixed groups, Les Platgetes works well because different parts of the shore suit different rhythms of the day. You can swim, sit by the gardens and viewpoint, or use it as a relaxed stop on a coastal walk between Moraira centre and the road towards Calpe.
