Playa de la Fossa (Calp)
Long urban sandy beach in Calpe with clear water, full services and one of the best close-up views of the Peñón de Ifach.
Description
Playa de la Fossa, also known as Levante Beach, is Calpe’s large northern town beach and feels very different from the smaller coves closer to Moraira. It is long, open and fully urban, with a broad strip of fine golden sand and a promenade lined with restaurants, cafés and everyday services.
The main attraction, besides the easy bathing, is the view: from the beach you look directly towards the Peñón de Ifach and the bay between the rock and Punta de Bassetes. The shoreline is wide enough for long walks and family beach days, and the water is usually accessible for relaxed swimming rather than technical snorkelling.
Because La Fossa is so well equipped, it is a strong choice for visitors who prioritise comfort, accessibility and nearby amenities. If you want a full-service beach day with plenty of space, simple access and a lively seafront atmosphere, this is one of the most practical options on the northern Costa Blanca.
