What to expect
On 19 and 20 September, Teulada celebrates the Divina Pastora with music and local traditions. Organised by Colla El Falçó, the festivities take place around the church square and chapel in the old town. Saturday’s programme includes the traditional arrival and raising of the festival poplar. At 21:30, the Sopar a la Fresca brings singers and their companions together for supper, with tables and chairs provided. The Cantada a la Fresca follows at 23:00, celebrating traditional Valencian singing. Sunday brings games and races at 11:30, accompanied by dolçaina and tabalet music. The Pa Beneït procession starts at 18:30, followed by Mass at 19:00 and the sharing of blessed bread. Anyone wishing to sing in the Cantada can register with the organisers.
